Chloe and Chris’ friends are coming together to take part in a charity fundraising event to raise funds for their daughter Ellie who has a rare brain condition.

Ellie was diagnosed with Miller Dieker Syndrome. This is a life-limiting condition which can affect children in many ways including- developmental delay, seizures, weak muscle tone, respiratory and feeding difficulties.

Chloe and Chris have spent the majority of Ellie’s first year in hospital due to problematic seizures and respiratory issues. As a result of this Ellie has been admitted to PICU several times.  Ellie requires medical treatment 24/7 which has involved Chloe unable to return to work fulltime and Chris balancing work, university, appointments and hospital stays.

We will be climbing Ben Nevis on the 27th August 2022 to raise funds for a supportive outdoor swing for Ellie. This will give her the opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities and make special memories. We hope to raise enough money to buy this equipment and any excess money raised will be split between two charities; RobinHouse and Ronald Mcdonald House (Glasgow).
